How will you know which egg donors to look for?
We will ask you to fill out a detailed questionnaire and provide photos to help us get a very clear understanding of the characteristics that are important to you in your egg donor search. Through this questionnaire and detailed conversations with your case manager, we will get a clear picture of traits you hope to find in an egg donor.
How long will my search take?
We will share egg donor profiles that fit your criteria with you as we find them and we are typically able to send clients wonderful profiles within just a couple of days. A complete search will take up to one month and we are generally able to send a total of about 20 - 80 profiles, depending on search criteria. We only accept a limited number of clients at a time so we can be sure we are able to devote the necessary attention to each and every client we assist. What is included on an egg donor profile?
While each agency includes different information in their egg donor profiles, you can typically find a large amount of information including the donor's health history, family history, educational background, physical characteristics, interests, etc. including a photo gallery with recent pictures and sometimes childhood photos as well. We will send you all the information and photos the agency provides including additional details we may learn about a donor that are not included on the profile. We like to collect as much information as possible on each donor we find so you can make the best, most informed decision.
You give me the donor profiles... then what?
Once you have made your official egg donor selection, we will introduce you to the agency that represents your donor so that you can finalize your match. For clients who have specific privacy concerns we will work with you and the agency to make sure you are given the privacy desired.
How is Family Match Consulting different from an egg donor agency?
Not every egg donor agency is going to have the right egg donors available for every client. That puts the huge burden of the search on the them. We have relationships and access to profiles from over 100 of the most reputable egg donor agencies. We cast the largest net possible to find you the very best egg donor. Additionally, because every agency in our network is a reputable and trusted agency, we don't care which agency you ultimately match with and therefore we get to work as your impartial advocate, helping you make the best decisions that are right for you.

Do I need to choose a donor that lives locally to my doctor's office?
Not necessarily. Most egg donors are willing to travel as needed for the cycle and opening your search to other areas will give you many more donor options to chose from. You will be responsible for their travel fees so the overall cost is higher when an egg donor is required to travel. If finding a local egg donor is important to you, we can certainly tailor your search to only include candidates who reside in the area of your choice.

Confidentiality is extremely important to me. Is my information private?
Absolutely. Confidentiality is something we take very seriously. We will never share your information until you give us permission to make the introduction to the egg donor agency you ultimately decide to work with. All inquires are handled with the strictest of confidence.
How long will my search take?
We match almost all our clients with an excellent surrogate within 1-4 weeks.
You give me the surrogate profiles... then what?

Once your ideal surrogate candidate is identified, your case manager will work to make sure that she is also a candidate that will be approved by your fertility doctor. We will coordinate the review of her medical records from her prior pregnancies and deliveries to be sure that she is medically approved by your physician before moving on to next steps. Once your doctor approves the surrogate's medical records, we will introduce you to the agency who will facilitate a match meeting with the candidate of interest. Only after this meeting, if all parties feel comfortable moving forward, would you retain the agency and move forward with the process. For clients who have a specific need for privacy, or would like ongoing assistance throughout their journey, additional services are available.
How is Family Match Consulting different from a surrogate agency?

Our goal is to find you an excellent surrogate who is the right match for you, not try to match you with a surrogate already in our program. We have access to profiles available through over 75 of the most reputable and trusted surrogacy agencies. We cast the largest net possible to find you an outstanding surrogate.
What will the total cost be for the surrogacy process?

This varies case by case but our experienced case managers will review all anticipated costs with you so you know what to expect. To help give you a general idea, we find that the "all in" amount which includes all expenses related to the entire surrogacy process will typically range anywhere from about $130,000 - $150,000.
